Messages and linked accounts

Message in the left sidebar is a unified inbox: in-app messages, email and subscribed feeds all land here. Under Settings → Connections → Linked Accounts you can connect WeChat, Feishu and Google Drive.

What is the Message page for?

Click Message in the left sidebar. There are four tabs along the top:

  • Recent: messages you've received recently. The top-right lets you filter by All, In-app, Mail and Feed, and search.
  • Contacts: your friends on Alphie. Search for people by username or display name, send friend requests, and handle requests you've received.
  • Overview: a summary such as unread counts and email connection status.
  • Settings: the list of connected Email Accounts, and your Bio (shown to people who search for you).

How do I connect my email?

  1. Click Message → Recent, then click the dashed Add channel button above the list (or just say "Connect my email" in chat).
  2. You're taken to chat, where Alphie asks which email you want to connect (Gmail, Outlook, QQ Mail, 163, Feishu Mail or another provider).
  3. You'll need to create an authorization code / app password with your email provider (not your login password). Alphie sends a dedicated input box for it — don't paste it into the chat box.
  4. Once connected, your mail shows up under Message and the account is listed under Message → Settings → Email Accounts. You can then ask Alphie to sort, summarize or reply to your email.

Add channel also offers Telegram, Discord, RSS feeds and other channels; Alphie tells you how far each one works today.

How do I connect Alphie to WeChat?

Click Settings in the left sidebar → Connections at the top → Linked Accounts, and find the WeChat row:

  1. Click Connect on the right; a QR code appears under the row.
  2. Scan it with WeChat on your phone and confirm the login.
  3. Once connected, the row shows the connected WeChat name and the button changes to Disconnect.
  4. From then on, message Alphie in WeChat and it replies there.

To disconnect, come back to this row and click Disconnect.

How do I connect Alphie to Feishu?

  • Chat with Alphie in Feishu: if Settings → Connections → Linked Accounts has a Feishu row, click Bind to get a one-time binding code. Send the code to the Alphie bot in a Feishu direct message (it's valid for a few minutes and works once — don't share it). Once bound, the row says "Bound to Feishu account". Click Unbind to remove it.
  • If you don't see a Feishu row, the Alphie you're using can't bind Feishu yet.
  • Feishu Mail: connect it like any other mailbox, following "How do I connect my email?" above.

How do I connect Google Drive?

In Settings → Connections → Linked Accounts, find Google Drive, click Connect and authorize with your Google account. After that you can browse your Drive files under File → Nodes in the left sidebar, and ask Alphie to turn a Drive folder into a knowledge base.

What does "Add account" at the top-right of Linked Accounts do?

It opens an Add Account window, but the window says the connector picker is coming soon, so nothing can be added there yet. To connect email or another channel, use Add channel on the Message page, or just tell Alphie in chat.
